MEAN

Now do we stay together cause we're scared to be alone?
We got so used to this abuse, it kinda feels like home
But my baby I, just really wanna know

How did we get so mean?
How did we just move on?
How do you feel in the morning when it comes
and everything's undone?

(Pink - Mean)

Can we just STOP being mean? Aren't you tired?

Happy Fasting!!!

Today is my first day of puasa. Owh I'm going to miss my 'tasting' duty now. *matilah berkat pose ilang dah*

I haven't done the IKEA meatball yet. Walaupun saya seorang yang tidak berpuasa dua hari pertama Ramadhan nih, saya adalah tetap pemalas yarabbi ye kengkawan. Alasan: "Maaaa... orang dah lama tak makan mama punye caru bakar cicah sambal kicap la.. sediiihhhh.. *diikuti cebik mata berair*. Kat sini orang makan pun tak tentu.. kekadang makan nasik dengan ikan goreng je sebab lauk seme tak bes la maa.."

Jawapan dari amma: Eleehhhhh.. tak makan kunon. Makan tak bes kunon. Gedebab jugak mama tengok awak ni haaaa!!!

Dan aku merajuk terus takmo masak. Hik.

I'll be spending my whole month of Ramadhan in Ampang. And because of that, this blog will have to be sitting idle for the whole month also sebab bila duduk Ampang, mak memang keras ketung takde cerita.

Selamat berpuasa everybody. Jadikanlah Ramadhan tahun ini lebih baik dari tahun lepas, insyaAllah.

Double standard macam haram!!

Last Saturday night, I attended a birthday party of a friend. Since the birthday girl was busy moving on and about greeting people, I sat with her mother and some of her aunties since I knew most of them. I realized something that night... I am GREAT with mothers. I know it sounds strange, but I somehow, miraculously knew what and how to touch their hearts. Which then made me wonder.. how can 'they' say I am never the girl they could bring back home when I can do wonders with their mothers?

But I digress.

Anyway, while sitting with the mother and aunties, one of the birthday girl's siblings came with the boyfriend, soon to be fiance. I guess it was the first time the guy made the appearance in front of the relatives because from where I was sitting, I heard the aunties asked the mother, "sapa dengan blurgh blurgh tu ooo boyfriieeennndddd keja mende haa tu je??"

That last sentence just made me sick!!

SERIOUSLY!!!

Enough with this double standard attitude laaa aunty-aunty oiiii. Yes she brings back bigger cheques than him monthly. Yes she holds bigger title than him. But who the fuck cares? If he's a "somebody", you think he gives a fuck about you haa aunty?? And another thing...

Who are YOU?!! Aku tak kenal pun kau!! Kau somebody ke aunty?!!!

It was my first time meeting the soon to be fiance too that night but I instantly liked him. He's soft spoken, treats her like a queen, treats her mother and father like they are the only human beings mattered to him that night, and despite of his burning temperature, he made the effort to smile and greet everyone. And you knew he was being sincere because it showed in his eyes when he looked at her and her parents.

And the way he looked at her that night, I rest my case lah.

We all may not know how it would turn out for them in 10 years time. Maybe, he got tired with her making bigger money than he is. Maybe he got tired of trying to prove to everyone that he's worth it. Maybe he would just give it up. But for the sake of HER, why can't you just pray for her happiness and hope for the best, regardless of whatever money they make?

Right now, they are so much in love with each other. Let's just pray that they would stay in love for as long as they live. Because really aunty!! Walaupun kau pakai gelang emas sebesau leher gajah kau tu dengan tudung ala-ala Siti Nurhaliza jambul tersembul, you are TOTALLY a nobody lah. Orang tak kenal pun kaaauuuuuuu!!!

Hah! Marah nih!!

They said...

...I showed them the real meaning of happiness and true love

...we have chemistry

...my energy and spontaneity always kept them on their toes

...my obsessions and possessions were the X-factor they could never explained

...my unconventional mind intrigued them

...I was the gem of their lives

but then,

...I was a wild child

...I was too westernized

...I was never the girl they could bring back home

And you wonder why I don't believe in love anymore?

Entry Bengang

I don't consider myself as a neat freak. Neat, yes. Freak, no. I don't sweep and mop the house everyday. I do it every Saturday. I wash the bathroom once a week too. I don't leave my unwashed mugs or plates for long. I throw the rubbish once in 2 days. I don't like seeing things, i.e mugs, newspapers, remote, shoe box bersepah-sepah in the living room.

So, when I looked for a housemate, I specifically wrote NEAT as the ONLY rule of the house. It's very important for me because as lazy as I am, I REALLY hate it coming back from work to a messy house.

Unfortunately, when you welcomed an unknown roomie to the house, you'd never know how neat they are even though they claimed they are a neat freak. One too many times now I came back only to see used mugs on the coffee table beside the telly. One too many times now I came back to see an unwashed rice cooker for days. Imagine the smell!! It drives me freaking nuts!!

Now, as most of you know, I am the only child in the family. So naturally, I don't like to nag because I don't have the experience of nagging to noisy siblings. Yes, I did kindly, in a cynical tone, reminding them about the unwashed rice cooker or the newspapers lying on the sofa for days. But like I said, I don't like to nag. And she's not 7 year old kid for God's sake!! Why do I have to repeat myself in being neat when she claimed herself to be a neat freak in the first place?!!

I don't mind cleaning up the house alone. I like cleaning up. It's my anti-depressent pill. I don't expect them to do the same but it's really frustrating to see the dirt just an hour after you cleaned things up.

We all work. We all get exhausted after a long day at work. But if you have the energy to cook or fix coffee for yourself, what is another 7 seconds to wash it up? What is another 5 seconds of putting the dvd back in it's casing? Hah? HAAHHH?!!!

Haih.

My amma is right lah. I memang kena duduk sorang2 camni. Help me God don't give me a slobbish man in my life.

Of viruses and hometown

The swine flu is getting violent these days. 2 of my best buddies were quarantined few days ago but thank God, it was nothing serious. Today, my 2nd boss is taking mc due to horrible flu that he got since yesterday. I pray it's nothing serious for him too because seriously, you DON'T want to be the guy who has to close down the whole building maannn.. No one wants to leave that kind of legacy I tell you. Hik.

My aunt is going back to Johor tonight for a short trip. REALLY short trip. Like going back tonight around 8-ish and coming back to KL tomorrow, probably would reach here around 8-ish at night too. I thought of joining at first but had a change of mind because my amma and appa are coming down next week until after raya so I thought, no point of going back if they are coming here for the whole month. Then, I called my amma this morning. Appa is down with fever, started with diarrhoea last night and vomit this morning. Kinda freaked me out. Appa didn't want to go to clinic and knowing appa, it's not surprising at all. He had this nightmarish experience with the hospital once and since then, he never wants to set foot in any hospital or clinic ever. So, I changed my mind again and I'm heading back tonight with the troops, no matter if it's only for merely few hours.

I haven't been home since Labour Day. If my aunt didn't call to inform me about her trip, my next trip back home would definitely be raya. Jazabelle always told me that I am literally, a kacang lupakan kulit. It's not that I don't want to go back but ever since amma and appa moved out from Pasir Gudang 3 years ago, I've lost the "balik kampung" feeling. This new town, is NOT my hometown. There are no familiar faces. I don't know the uncle at the minimarket. I don't know where's the pasar malam. Yes, yes it's not an excuse I know but it's just not the same, you know. The town is not my playground.

Of course, I don't use THAT excuse when people ask why I hardly go back home. I just say, amma and appa spend every school holiday here. What's the point of going back when I get to see them here?

:D

Happy weekend people. Be good and be safe.

Pray my solid rock appa will be fine.

Happy Birthday Girl...

It was supposed to be a quiet birthday eve. I have everything planned out - me in my pj, getting comfy on the sofa under my blue blankie, hugging my princess pillow watching Horton on 413. Until, I got a call from Ajax's lovely mother.

"BIRTHDAY GIRL HAS TO GO OUT!! JUMPA KAT BORNEO SUNWAY" katanya.

So, I dragged my feet to meet the lovely couple at 1015pm. The couple was still on their way when I reached there so I waited outside the place. It was my first time to Borneo so I was kinda like tak tau arah tujuan. 10 minutes later, aunty called and directed me to the right place. Apparently, I was waiting at the restaurant, not the club. Tak hip gitew.

Aunty and uncle had their few friends joining. And being aunty and uncle, all the staff greeted them when we have found our spot. Even the deejay bowed down on them. Their networking skill is splendidly awesome!!

By 1130pm, the couple was already on the dance floor, sweating their back off. Aunty has forced me many times to join them but being a gugurl yang shy, I gently refused. Besides, my dancing munkey is not around.

When the clock struck 12am, the band suddenly tukar tune jadik "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOOOOUUUUU" and there was a cake. And I duduk bawah meja.

PAISEH SIYYAAALLLLLL!!!!

Aunty and Uncle, I cannot thank you enough for the celebration. It was awesome.

Strangers who get to hug and kiss the birthday girl, errr... thank you?

I guess, if you celebrated your birthday in a club, you have to accept the fact that you WILL get sexually abused like that.

To Jazabelle, thank you for the awesome lunch and dinner yesterday and the wonderful shopscapade.

To those who sent me birthday wishes, here you go... *flying kisses*

I'm 31 dude.

I can't and won't be moved

When you are running out of stories to yank in your blog, write a song that meant something for you for the day.

Today, I'm the 'woman' who can't be moved.

Going back to the corner where I first saw you
Gonna camp in my sleeping bag I'm not gonna move
Got some words on cardboard got your picture in my hand
Saying if you see this girl can you tell her where I am

Some try to hand me money they don't understand
I'm not broke I'm just a broken hearted man
I know it makes no sense but what else can I do
How can I move on when I've been in love with you

Cause if one day you wake up and find that you're missing me
And your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I could be
Thinking maybe you'll come back here to the place that we'd meet
And you'd see me waiting for you on the corner of the street

So I'm not moving
I'm not moving

Policeman says son you can't stay here
I said there's someone I'm waiting for if it's a day a month a year
Gotta stand my ground even if it rains or snows
If she changes her mind this is the first place she will go

People talk about the guy
Who's waiting on a girl
There are no holes in his shoes
But a big hole in his world

Maybe I'll get famous as the man who can't be moved
And maybe you won't mean to but you'll see me in the news
And you'll come running to the corner
Cause you'll know it's just for you

I'm the man who can't be moved
I'm the man who can't be moved

Try to make a u-turn once in a while as you go along. You'd still see me on my bended knees, clasping my hands and pray for you to just, for once, 'look' at me.
